Sidney Hobart Race
King’s Legend is a great yacht for this race, at least that is what we hope of course. The timeless shape of our Sparkman & Stephens designed yacht is perfectly suitable for good results in upwind racing in high waves!
We still have a great trip planned for the month of October, sailing to Brisbane along the Coral Coast of Australia. A two week absolute blue water cruising that must be on quiet a few bucket lists, at least it is on mine.
In 2016 we will be sailing from Australia to Asia, The Great Barrier Reef, Papua New Guinea, Thailand and more as soon as we know our program we will share it with you and you are welcome to join us. But first we need to focus on the Sidney Hobart Race a huge challenge for us and our crew of fourteen.
King’s Legend is a Swan 65, which is considered by experts to be the Rolls Royce of sailing yachts. In 1977 it participated in the legendary and incredibly challenging Whitbread Around The World race, which covers more than 27,000 nautical miles, taking competitors via Cape Horn to the other side of the world. The crew sailed her into second place behind the race winner the Dutch Flyer. She is available for charter, for cruising, racing or business events.
